Little Black Dress 6 Ways — From Summer to Fall

Everyone loves a little black dress! They are always so flattering and versatile. Today, I am sharing my new favorite little black dress! This exact dress is super soft and comfortable (I really wish you could feel how soft this dress is! I tried to zoom in to show the softness of the fabric, so pay close attention to the photos above!). The fuzzy, knit material can be worn now as we finish up summer or into fall, because it is a warmer material (not too warm for summer). I love the little button detail, as well as the tiered look. If you love this dress as much as I do and need to buy more colors (I am strongly considering doing this), it also comes it grey, maroon and lavender! Each one is super cute. This dress is only $20 and can be worn in a variety of ways. I have styled it fairly casually, but you could easily throw on heels or wedges to dress it up a little bit.

6 Ways to Style 1 Dress:

Tie Around Your Waist: This summer, wear the dress as is or tie a jacket or cardigan around your waist for added interest. This easy trick will spice up your look!
Denim Jacket: For summer nights or early fall days, add a denim jacket to this dress! Any denim jacket will work: dark, light, white, embroidered, etc.!
Long Cardigan: For a little less casual look, throw on your favorite long cardigan with booties or heels. This is a cute look for date night! Perfect as we transition from summer to fall.
As a top: This dress can double as a top!! I love getting the most wear out of my pieces as possible. Tuck this top into your high-waisted skinny jeans and now you have a cute top! Throw on boots and cardigan and you have another great date night look.
As a skirt: Another fun piece to pair with this dress is a pull over sweater or sweatshirt. You can tie your sweater into a knot and make this dress look more like a skirt. This is a fun way to wear your summer dresses into fall.
T-shirt (shown above): This summer, you can wear your graphic or striped t-shirt under this dress for a fun, edgy look. As we move into fall, a tight, white, long sleeve shirt would look cute under this dress.

The Perfect Summer Dress

Today is the first official day of summer, so I thought it would be the perfect day to share this summer dress! If you are looking for a versatile dress you can wear all summer long, this is the perfect dress for you.

This dress can be worn to almost any occasion; church, brunch, date night, the beach, a cookout, grad parties, weddings, errands and the list goes on and on. You could even wear this to a 4th of July party by adding a red hair scarf! This dress really is the perfect dress for all of your summer happenings! You can easily be dressed up a little bit with heels and jewelry, or dressed down with sandals and a hat!

Add these accessories for a festive or casual look:

The details in this dress are super cute. I love the thick, adjustable straps! You can wear the straps crossed in the back (seen in photos above) or straight back. The texture of this dress adds a fun look to the stripes and creates a cool, summery vibe. The fit and length are great too. For reference, I am 5’5″ wearing an extra small. This dress runs true-to-size. I added beachy jewelry to finish of the look. I can already tell I am going to get a lot of use out of the dress and jewelry.

Creative Memorial Day Weekend Outfits

Do you want to look cute and festive for Memorial Day, but are sick of just wearing a big American Flag shirt every year? I’m with ya! I thought it would be fun to gather up some outfits that are still fun and festive, without being so obvious and in your face. These looks are great for Memorial Day, July 4th and all summer long!

This year, I am going to be wearing this adorable watermelon print fit and flare dress! I think it screams summer! The watermelon print alone makes me think of the summer holidays, because every party has a nice tray of freshly cut watermelon! The navy with red accents helps give off a more patriotic feel. This dress is extremely comfortable and cool. You will be perfectly fine wearing this dress to any event you have planned for the holiday weekend! The straps are adjustable for added comfort. The best part is, it is only $30 today!! Throw on your white Converse with this fun dress and you will be the cutest one at the party!
